Your Next Chapter Starts Here

Helping senior leaders and founders get clarity

Beyond roles, titles and expectations

For the first time, I had the language to express what I was feeling and that gave me a way forward I hadn’t seen before.

Next Chapter is for people navigating moments of career and life transition. When a role ends, an identity shifts, or a chapter that once made sense no longer quite does.

I help seasoned leaders and former business owners find purpose and passion in the next phase of their life.

Who Next Chapter is for

Next Chapter tends to resonate with people who:

  • have held significant responsibility or leadership roles

  • have stepped away from a role, exited a business, or are considering what’s next

  • feel successful on paper, but unsettled underneath

  • are asking questions about identity, purpose, and direction

You don’t need to be in crisis.
But you may be at a point where old answers no longer fit.

How I work

While I am a qualified Coach and Transactional Analyst I don't bring a set 'programme' or a process.

Instead I bring the skills you need to help you clarify where you are currently at and the support you need to help you work out how to move forward towards your next goals.

Some people come to Next Chapter for a few conversations.
Others stay longer while a transition takes shape.

We move at the pace the work requires.

No judgement.

No imposed expectations.

No pressure to 'move on'.

What this work is really about

Transitions are rarely just practical.

They touch:

  • identity

  • meaning

  • confidence

  • belonging

  • the stories we tell ourselves about who we are

Next Chapter offers space to explore those questions, without judgement, performance, or pressure to arrive at a neat outcome.

There is no prescribed path here.

Only thoughtful conversation, reflection, and choice.

About me

I’m James Russell.

Alongside my work with organisations through Lead To Change, I’ve spent years working with people navigating major transitions — after senior roles, exits, and periods of sustained responsibility.

I know how disorienting it can be when the structure, identity, or certainty of a role falls away.

Next Chapter exists because that moment deserves more than platitudes or quick answers.
